Tallisman FIPM Quick Swipe-A-Comp
A 3 Macro set designed to emulate Logic 8 Quick Swipe Take comping, ala free lanes like Cubendo.
It is easy to use:
1. Record Takes as normal.
2. Use the FIPM: Swipe-A-Comp Prepare Tracks for Comping macro, to prepare for the comping.
3. Draw time selections on portions of items that you want heard in your Active Comp, and press the FIPM: Swipe-A-Comp Add-2-Active Comp (main action) macro.
4. once your comp is complete edit the Active Comp as you wish - these edits are propagated to the Takes Source track.
5. Record more Takes later if you want, and Prepare them for comping on the Active Comp Track using the FIPM: Swipe-A-Comp Prepare Take-Stack for Swipe-A-Comp macro.
Here it is is action ( a 6 minute .gif), with captions and whatnot:

hi Tallisman
thank you for your efforts, this is really a nice add-on!
but I´m having some troubles using it :(
When I select a portion, hover my mouse over the take I want and press the main action key, sometimes it will work as planned but sometimes it will replace a bigger part, not accordingly to the selection that was done
several times the 'time selection' is altered after the main action
this happens everytime I draw a portion and cylce thru the takes using the same selection
And the time selection seems to not work at all if the mouse cursor is out of the selection during the pressing of the action key - even being inside the chunks area
It appears that the 'source takes' get splitted everytime the action is applied and this confuses the macro if you make a selection that surrounds a splitted part
I know this is a complex macro and it´s hard to avoid this mis-behaviours
I just thought you would appreciate some feedback :D
thank you once again
cheers
